This Privacy Policy explains how Sunray Capital LLC, which operates the PanelPerks website ("PanelPerks," "we," "us," "our"), collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our website and request solar estimates or quotes. By using the site you acknowledge this Policy.
PanelPerks provides information and lead-referral services about U.S. solar incentives and is intended for residents of the United States. Our services are directed to the U.S. market only; we do not target or market to individuals in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. If you access the site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with your local laws. Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) nonetheless applies to our processing, the "Your privacy rights" section describes the rights available to you.
We collect information you provide and information collected automatically:
We use personal information to: generate your solar estimate and operate the website; match you with, and connect you to, solar providers ('partners') who can give you a quote; contact you about your request and, with your consent, about solar offers; measure and improve our content and performance; and prevent fraud, secure the site, and comply with law.
Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: your consent (for marketing communications and any non-essential cookies); the performance of a contract or steps taken at your request (to provide the estimate and match you with partners); our legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and improve the site) balanced against your rights; and compliance with legal obligations.
When you request a quote and provide consent, we share the details you submitted with one or more solar partners so they can contact you about a quote. Those partners are independent businesses that act as separate controllers of your information and are responsible for their own privacy practices. We also use service providers (for example, hosting, database, analytics, and communications vendors) that process personal information on our behalf under contract. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public. We do not sell your personal information for money; however, because connecting you with partners may be treated as a "sale" or "sharing" under certain U.S. state laws, we honor opt-outs as described below.
If you check the consent box on our quote form, you give PanelPerks and the solar partners we match you with your prior express written consent to contact you at the phone number and email address you provide — including by automated telephone dialing technology and prerecorded or artificial voice, and by text (SMS) message — even if your number is on a state or federal Do-Not-Call list. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies. You can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP to texts, using the unsubscribe link in emails, or emailing hello@panelperks.com.
We use strictly necessary cookies to operate the site. We use non-essential cookies (for example, analytics) only where permitted — and, for users to whom consent-based cookie laws apply, only with your consent. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising without consent. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect site functionality. We do not currently serve third-party advertising trackers.
We retain the information you submit for as long as needed to provide our services, then for a reasonable period to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain records of consent, and enforce our agreements — after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary by data type and legal requirement.
We maintain administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to its sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
US state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA, and comparable laws in other states): depending on your state you may have the right to know/access the personal information we hold, to correct or delete it, to opt out of the 'sale' or 'sharing' of personal information and of targeted advertising, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
EEA/UK/Switzerland (where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies): you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing), and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.
We are based in the United States and process and store personal information in the U.S. If you access the site from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
Our site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Some browsers send a 'Do Not Track' signal. There is no common industry standard for responding to these signals, so we do not currently respond to them; use the opt-out choices described above instead.
We may update this Policy from time to time; we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
